Changing Lives -- Building Futures
Project Learn to Read of San Antonio (PLR) trains volunteers to provide tutoring and small group learning sessions to PLR students. All training and materials are provided free of charge and we can match students in or near your zip code. Tutoring opportunities include:
- Individual tutoring for those who have limited reading and writing skills;
- English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for those who need assistance in improving their English skills (includes reading, writing, speaking, and listening);
- G.E.D. tutoring for those who have experienced difficulty passing their G.E.D. tests;
- Citizenship tutoring or classes; and
- Spanish literacy classes.
